Succession planning

As an organization, effective succession planning and carefully managed organizational change is critical to our success - that is why we have a dedicated Organization Succession Planning process. In addition to this process, at least once a year all employees receive a performance and development review. This review includes a section that focuses on career planning.


We are all responsible for our own development

Each employee is responsible for their own training and development with the support of their supervisor and the HR department.

Maritime Systems considers development as more than just formal courses, and encourages non-traditional learning methods such as conferences, online learning, job shadowing, project work, supplier / customer visits and close ties to academia.


Supporting tuition

Over and above the training and development plan is tuition support. Employees can apply for funding to support further education such as diplomas, degrees, and MBAs.
